SIX FINDINGS — TOP 200 BENCHMARK
A third of the industry is silent before we even start measuring. Of the 3,916 consultants and 406 firms tracked, only 2,637 consultants (67%) and 261 firms (64%) posted at all between May 2025 and May 2026 — the rest are invisible on LinkedIn before any share-of-voice question is even asked.
Almost half the LinkedIn share of voice in legal recruitment (47.9% of all power score) is held by the top 200 — under 8% of the active cohort.
The top 10 consultants alone deliver 23.3% of all top-200 power score — 10 people are louder than the next 80, on average.
Of the 261 active firms, only 60 have anyone in the top 200 — meaning 77% of active firms have nobody at the front-of-mind layer.
80.5% of the top 200 sit at just 30 firms. It's easier being part of a social army than being a great solo poster.
Comments are the sector-wide weakness: even the top 200 only convert 12 comments per 100 likes (vs 40–50 for our lawyer rankings). The opinion-led post — the format that drives genuine conversation — is the single biggest under-used lever in legal recruitment marketing.

THE HEADLINE — TOP 30 FIRMS
The top 30 firms account for 80.5% of every consultant in the UK top 200 — front-of-mind in legal recruitment is overwhelmingly a firm-level effect.
Major Lindsey & Africa leads on absolute scale (226 active consultants, 165k power), but Michael Page wins on top-200 density: 20 of 65 active consultants in the top 200 — a 31% density rate that makes it the most front-of-mind brand in the market.
Morgan Phillips holds #3 with 18 in the top 200 from 168 active. Ignite Search and Selection is a notable new face, putting Sam Matondo at #5 in the consultant rankings (19,633 power).
